Featured in this lot is this Masonic Knights Templar miniature ceremonial sword. The sword features a wonderfully and professionally crafted steel and and aluminum construction that shows a silver inlay of a cross on the handle and the pommel shows a knights helmet with a repousse decoration the the hilt. The insignia attached to the hilt is of an early rendition of a sect of the Knights Templar that shows a red cross with a crown around it and reads as follows: In Hoc Signo Vinces. "In hoc signo vinces" is a Latin phrase that translates to "In this sign you will conquer" or "In this sign thou shalt conquer". It is associated with Constantine the Great, who saw the phrase in a vision before a battle. The condition of this miniature sword is good with some slight patina to the blade and hilt of the sword but otherwise shows a good overall condition. The measurements of this miniature sword is 9 5/8" x 1 7/8" x 1/2". The collective weight of this miniature sword is 39.5g.
