The top of the receiver is marked "eagle/135/byf/43", the right side is marked "eagle/135", and the left side is marked with the Nazi firing proof and serial number. The left receiver wall is marked "Mod. 98", the rear of the barrel is marked with a Nazi firing proof, and the upper right side is marked "D352" and "eagle/135". All visible numbers match, including floor plate and trigger guard, ramped blade front sight, (hood absent), tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. The stock is made of straight grain hickory and is engraved on the right “Excellence in Safety – Old Hickory”. Serial Number: 15587E.
