This is an exceptional and rare Mayan figural fertility pipe from the Clem Caldwell collection. The pipe dates to circa 500 A.D. and shows a terracotta pottery style construction. The piece depicts a Mayan man with an erect penis. These type of phallic symbol pipes were smokes as part of intensive fertility rituals. The pipe shows excellent condition for its early age and is truly a rare and valuable piece of Pre-Columbian art. Measures overall 2.25óL x 2óH.
