Offered to you in this lot is a pristine example of a Winchester cartridge box. Originally intended to transport small arms ammunition, specifically in this case were 12 gauge shot gun cartridges (2 5/8). Box is built from pine using box joints and nails. Wood movement is typical for the age, preventing a tight lock. Hardware appears to be original and in good shape. What's truly impressive about this box is how vibrant the infill colors are on the box. Measures 15" x 10" x 11".
