Featured in this lot we have a McClellan M1904 U.S. cavalry saddle. This saddle is constructed of authentic russet leather with brass hardware. The M1904 saddle was a a step above previous models with the 1/2" sheep skin sewn to the underside of the saddle. The saddle is stamped "U.S." on both of the stirrups and has a plaque on the horn reading "11 1/2 Inch Seat". The saddle shows good condition with some wear indicative of age.
