Included in this lot we have a collection of historic arms books and catalogs originating from the mid 20th century. The collection consists of books on historical knives, swords, and firearms written by writers such as John B. McClernan, Robert Abels, T.M. Hamilton, and others. The collection shows a total of seven books titled; Robert Abels Antique Firearms and Edged weapons, Early Indian Trade Guns:1625-1775, Slade's Wells Fargo Colt, A Museum of Historical Arms, Bowie Knives, Bannerman Military Catalogue, and A History of Knives. Robert Abels Antique Firearms and Edged Weapons, The Museum of Historical Arms, And Bannerman Military Catalogue record and cover both historical firearms and edged weapons. On the other hand Bowie Knives and A History of Knives only cover edged weapons, while Slade's Wells Fargo Colt and Early Indian Trade Guns; 1625-1775 covers only historic firearms. The collection shows good condition overall with the front cover missing from Bannerman Military Catalogue and the other books show wear indicative of age. The largest of the books measures 11 1/2" tall by 9" wide.
