Featured in this lot is this "Winter Aspen's," oil on board collection by Montana artist Mike Patterson born in 1953. Born in 1953, Mike Patterson believes the beauty in Montana provides Patterson with inspiration and he tries to express the sense of wonder it gives him. At the same time, he derives great pleasure in trying to recreate what he sees and wants to share that connection to Montana. There are three framed oil on board paintings in this Winter Aspen's collection. The first is titled "Starry Night" collection number 1528 and shows some Aspen trees on a hillside with a starry night backdrop. The second painting is titled "Winter Aspens" with collection number 1230 that shows a snowy scene of a grove of Aspen trees. The third painting is titled "Aspens in Snow" (with a cut off collection number) and shows a day scene of a grove of Aspen trees in the snow with fall color backdrop behind. Each of the paintings is signed in the bottom left hand corners with the artsit signature. The condition of this collection of oil on board paintings is good with no obvious signs of damage to the artwork with some very slight wear to the frames due to use but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this collection of framed paintings is 13 1/8" x 11 1/8" and the visible artwork measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" and the horizontal set framed artwork measures 11 1/8" x 13 1/8" and the visible artwork measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2".
