Featured in this lot is a Miniature Plains Beaded Tanned Hide Belt with Awl Case and Knife Scabbard, circa 1900 to 1930s. Wonderfully and professionally handcrafted Native tanned hide belt has trade pony and glass seed bead construction, sinew sewn, with dyed porcupine quill and dyed horse hair, eight silver aglets. An example of amazing craftsmanship featuring glass seed bead colours of green, transparent red, dark red, Cheyenne pink, transparent periwinkle blue, and white. This piece is in amazingly well preserved condition, some slight bead loss, slight quill loss, one missing aglet. Measures 5.5"W x 9"L.
