For your consideration is this Native American man gouache by Seminole artist Freeman Mitchell (1950-2007) The gouache shows a lovely blue background with a expertly painted Native American man wearing ceremonial garments. Born in Phoenix, AZ, this artist's native name is LOGA translating to turtle. Hence, his preference is to sign his paintings with LOGA, drawn in the shape of a turtle. Mitchell won awards for his work beginning in the early 1970's. His work has been exhibited in many venues including New York, New Jersey, Colorado, Oklahoma and in Wisconsin. The condition of this painting is good with no obvious signs of damage to the artwork however the frame has a slight repair to the back and some wear to the pine frame.
