The lot features an excellent beaded hide full size women’s dress from the Montana Crow Apsaalooke Absorka Native American Indians dating to the mid-20th Century. The piece shows a fine Indian tanned Buffalo hide construction with petit glass trade seed cen beads having a period correct age showing corn yellow, brown, light blue, orange and chalk white framing the breast collar and end of the sleeves. The pieces also shows a wonderful hand cut long fringe at the arms and a row at the base of the dress accented further by double fringe ties holding wound glass cobalt and sky blue trade beads and cowrie shells. This dress is in fine well preserved very good condition and displays beautifully. From a very large Crow American Indian collection in Billings, Montana.
