This is an excellent, fully front beaded flat bag from the Montana Crow Native American Indians of the mid 1900's. The piece shows an Indian tanned hide construction with floral trade cloth inner lining, which overall is completely covered on the front with tight fine beadwork. The beadwork shows all glass trade seed beads in a rose floral pattern with a robin’s egg blue background and flowers and butterfly in semi translucent red, green, yellow, brown, blue, and clear pink heart trade beads. The beadwork was executed exceptionally and is in very good condition. The top shows leather hide carry handles and the back of the bag shows bare Indian tanned hide. The bag shows good condition and measures 15" long with straps by 9 3/4" wide.
