For your consideration is this 1920-1940s "No Hunting" sign presented by the Montana Fish and Game Commission. This sign would have been posted on the property lines of the State Game Reserve to let hunters and others know that hunting and/or firing of weapons was strictly prohibited and anyone caught breaking these laws could be subject to a minimum fine of 25 dollars. The sign shows an orange color with black lettering reading, "No Hunting / State Game Reserve / For the better protection of the wild life this area is closed to all hunting and discharge of firearms / Penalty for violation $25.00 minimum fine / By order of the Montana Fish and Game Commission". The sign shows fair condition showing slight oxidation, bullet holes and some creases. The sign can still be read with ease. It measures 12" L x 8" W and weighs 12 ounces.
