Included in this lot is a Fossilized Hadrosaurid Footprint from Montana, circa Cretaceous period. Hadrosaurus was a large, two-legged herbivore from the hadrosaur group of dinosaurs. Hadrosaurids are duck billed dinosaurs that are semi aquatic. It would have cropped vegetation with its beak. It was called Hadrosaurus, which means 'bulky lizard', because it was so large and so heavy. It was the first hadrosaur ever named. The footprint would have been for the rear limbs which were significantly larger than its forelimbs. Montana has a rich fossil history, mostly in the central and eastern regions of the state. The fossilized footprint is in good condition overall. Measures 14"L x 14", weight is 11lb, 2oz.
