Featured in this lot is this Montana Historical Societal book collection. There are seven books in this collection. The first is a La Posta Pocket Guide Series pamphlet called A Checklist of Montana Post Offices circa 1864-1988 by Richard W. Helbock. The second book is called The Hanging of Billy Calder by Bill Yaeger and is the story of the only legal execution in Montana's Fergus County. The next The Best Gift Montana's Carnegie Libraries by Kate Hampton and shows photographs by Tom Ferris. The next book is called Postals from Wonderland: Yellowstone Postcard Messages by Susan and Jack Davis. The next book is called John M. Bozeman: Montana Trailmaker by Merril G Burlingame. The next book is a collective history of photographs by F. Jay Haynes called Fifty Views and includes photographs from the Haynes Collection, Montana Historical Society. The last book is called Montana's Homestead Era and is Volume Fifteen by Daniel N. Vichorek and is apart of the Montana Geographic Series and is published by Montana Magazine. The condition of this collection of is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this collection range from 7 1/4" x 3 1/2" to 11" x 8 1/2". The collective weight of this collection of books is 4lb 10oz.
