Featured in this lot is a trophy taxidermy Montana silver fox fur hide. This fox was expertly prepared by a professional taxidermist and shows an excellent color gradient. The silver fox is not its own species, rather it is a melanistic color morph of the North American red foxes. The fox displays wonderful, silver hairs with black tips and a black under coat. The hide shows the face and full tail with each of the limbs missing the paws. The hide displays wonderful condition, with little to no shedding, and showcases impressive all-around craftsmanship. The fox measures 52" long from nose to tail by 16" wide from leg to leg.
