Included in this lot is an original Montana Sport, londres cigar box, originating from the 1920's. The box displays wooden construction with original paper bands across the corners and edges. The piece shows a Springer spaniel on one side with "Montana Sport Periores Selecte" around it. The front of the box is marked "Londres The Cigars herein contained were manufactured to retail at more than eight cents each and not more than fifteen cents each and are so tax-paid". The cigar box shows half of a tax paid paper stamp with the back of the piece marked "Garnier Cigar Co. Consolidated Lithographing Corporation Brooklyn, N.Y.". The bottom of the box shows factory information for the cigars. The piece shows good condition for its age, with some wear. The piece measures 5 3/4" wide by 5 3/4" long and 3 3/4" tall.
