For your consideration is are fifty-two, used and un-used real photo postcards & illustrated postcards from Montana and Wyoming circa 1909-1940s. The postcards show black & white coloring as well as colored photos. A few appear to be hand colored, a photographic practice that was in its infancy notably made famous by the Haynes Studio of Yellowstone National Park and St. Paul, MN. Images are of Montana & Wyoming towns and scenes including such locations as Basin, Wyoming / Virginia City, Montana / Helena, Montana / Worland, Wyoming / MSU Bozeman, Montana / Missoula, Montana / Twin Bridges, Montana / Deer Lodge, Montana / Old Faithful Yellowstone, Wyoming / Red Lodge, Montana / Custer's Final Resting Place / Great Falls, Montana / Hot Springs, Montana / Warm Springs, Montana / Cheyenne, Wyoming / Livingston, Montana / Dillon, Montana / Three Forks, Montana / Cooke City, Montana / Big Timber, Montana / and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The postcards are taken by various Photography Studios such as Canborn, Chas. E. Morris Company, Tribune Publishing Company, Doubleday, W.T. Ridgley Calendar Company, Morris & Kirby, Edward H. Mitchell, J. Frederick Laval, D.L. Taylor, W.H. Martin and Phillips & Willson Publishers. There are fifteen used postcards and thirty-seven unused postcards. They show good condition overall with wear present on some of the postcards. No major signs of damage or wear is noted. They measure from 4 1/2" L x 2 3/4" W to 3 1/2" L x 11" W. They have a collective weight of 6 ounces.
