Featured in this lot we have a Nancy McLaughlin Powell oil on velvet painting of a Native American Woman. Nancy McLaughlin Powell was a Montana artist noted for her skill depicting Indian faces and was the wife of famed Montana artist Ace Powell. The painting shows the image of a Native American woman in braids and ceremonial garb. The painting is on black velvet with the native garb in colors of yellow, reds, and blues. The piece is in very good condition showing no signs of wear. The painting measures 23" wide by 29" tall.
