The lot features a beautiful Navajo Kenny Ray McNeilly Jr. sterling squash blossom necklace set with Bear Claws, Kingman Turquoise and Branch Coral. The necklace is signed, “Kenny Ray McNeilly Jr. STERLING” at the squash. The necklace is comprised of sterling silver with a double strand of Navajo pearl concho sterling beads on silver chain with a large naja squash pendant. The squash shows a classic Old Pawn setting with graduated large silver spot nuggets with stamping and feather leaf design set with a large, polished cabochon of Kingman Turquoise with two Bear Claws making up the naja with deep red Branch Coral atop the sterling silver encasement and in between each a three-dimensional growling Grizzly Bear sterling silver effigy fetish. The necklace shows ten blossom pendants each with matching Old Pawn sterling silver stamped nugget and leaf design set with Kingman Turquoise with bear claws encased in sterling silver with spots of deep red Branch Coral. The top shows sterling silver marked cones and a heavy sterling silver custom clasp. The piece is made by the same artist as the last lot, the Massive Bear Claw Squash, with this being a more wearable version of that. Truly beautiful wearable art. Measures overall 15 inches long from the back of the clasp to the bottom of the squash as well as 24.5 inches long from clasp to clasp. The squash by itself is about 3.5” by 2 3/8”. Total weight of 238.2 grams.
