Featured in this lot is this pair of sterling silver and white buffalo turquoise earrings from Navajo artist Herbert Tsosie. The earrings show white buffalo turquoise cabochons set into a sterling silver frame in a stud earring design. The White Buffalo stone originates from the Tonopah Nevada area; it is found in the same general veins as Dry Creek turquoise but has no copper content. The White Buffalo gemstones show a beautiful matrix of black host rock and clear white gem quality stone. The condition of these earrings is good, showing no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this pair of earrings are 3/4" x 5/8" x 5/8". The collective weight of the earrings is 7.7g.
