The rug is a hand knotted wool Navajo Native American Indian rug with a unique Home Sweet Home sampler pattern by weaver Jolene Morgan. The rug dates to the mid-20th Century and is from the Crownpoint Rug Weavers Association / Trading Post. In circa 1950-1960’s the Crownpoint Rug Weavers Association founded the Crownpoint Rug Auction which is still in operation today. The piece comes with the original manila tag from Crownpoint Rug Weavers Assn. from Crownpoint, New Mexico signed marked by Jolene Morgan from Dalton Pass. The rugs is all soft wool hand knotted showing a yellow / brown background with phrase “HOME SWEET HOME” in white / cream being framed with two flowers in red and green. Provenance: From a 90-year collection out of Central Arizona in the Coconino National Forest. The rug measures 16" x 16 1/2".
