The bracelet features wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver with a striking sections of white fire opal laid across the top. Fire opal is a transparent or translucent opal that is mainly formed in the depth of volcanoes or lava when water gets trapped in the lava, giving it a beautiful yellow, orange or red pigment. The color is created by the presence of iron oxide inside the opal. The fire opal was prized by Mayan and Aztec peoples, who called it “quetzalitzlipyollitli” or, “the stone of the bird of paradise.” Fire opal has long been regarded as giving its wearer confidence, energy, and joy. The inlays are separated by silver channels. The colours exude a feeling of vibrancy. The Hallmark and "sterling" are stamped on the reverse.
