This is an exceptional Navajo Native American Indian, handcrafted work of art Turquoise Steer Bull Skull from the late 1900’s. The piece shows a steer skull with horns that were handset with natural North American Mine polished cabochons of Turquoise nuggets. Each stone is an authentic piece of solid Turquoise nuggets, with a mixture of Kingman Mine and Cripple Creek mine, possibly along with others such as Royston, Blue Gem, and Turquoise Mountain etc. The skull itself is all hand painted black with the teeth pulled and then set along the front facing dimensional sides with Turquoise. The piece contains probably 1,000 carats of Turquoise, which by themselves carry a significant value (weight is a complete approximation with no guarantee). These skulls typically are priced between $2,500 to over $5,000 and wholesale cost for dealers STARTS at over $1,500. This is truly a find and one of the best examples we have ever sold. The skull measures 19" long by 22 1/2" wide and 11" tall.
