The lot features an original authentic Navajo Native American Indian wool rug with a fantastic Klagetoh pattern from the trading post of Juan Lorenzo Hubbell and dating to circa early 1900’s. The piece shows a tightly hand woven pure wool construction with excellent mineral dyed colors in a fine Klagetoh pattern. The piece shows a dark brown border with grey background and various red, brown, yellow/orange, and cream/natural colors. The pattern has immense detail with various symbols and patterns and overall is in very good well-preserved condition. Provenance: This rug was found to be an authentic original Navajo example with early 1900’s age from the experts at March in Montana at the Charles Russell Auction in Great Falls, Montana and was given an appraised high value of $4,000.00. Measures overall 67 ½ inches by 31 inches or 5 foot 7 ½ inches by 2 foot 7 inches, a fine large size for a rare Klagetoh, Arizona Hubbell Trading post piece.
