This is an excellent authentic tightly hand knotted 100% wool Navajo Native American Indian rug with an excellent Klagetoh pattern. The Klagetoh pattern, like the Ganado pattern was fathered by Lorenzo Hubbell and is located just south of Ganado, AZ. This example shows a very nice tight hand knotted weave with all finely spun churro wool in rich natural aniline dyes. The background shows a grey color with central storm stepped pattern of Ganado red with a cream border and grey / brown central stepped pattern holding a black and cream cross. The rug also shows various stepped or stair patterns and crosses in grey, red and cream. The piece comes with an original gallery / trading post tag from Toh-Atin Gallery Since 1957 in Durango, Colorado. The tag is marked on the reverse Klagetoh.
