Featured in this lot is a Navajo Klagetoh whirling log peace rug circa 1960s. The rug features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wool construction. The rug features geometric patterns that include coloration of black, red, off white set top a heathered grey field. Klagetoh is located just south of Ganado and 10 miles north of Wide Ruins. The English translation is “hidden springs”. The Klagetoh weaving is very similar to the Ganado rugs, but with a predominantly gray background instead of the Ganado’s red. Some experts do not consider Klagetoh a specific regional rug but a sub-type of Ganado. The condition of this rug is good with no obvious of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this rug are 71"L x 45 1/2"W.*
