Featured in this lot is this inlaid sterling silver, white buffalo turquoise and jet necklace from Navajo artist Marilyn Yazzie. The necklace shows a wonderfully crafted sterling silver chain and "V" feather pendant decoration with inlaid arrowhead shaped design of White Buffalo turquoise and jet. The artist’s hallmark can be seen on the back of the dangle pendant with a 'sterling' stamp above the hallmark. The White Buffalo stone originates from the Tonopah Nevada area, found in the same general veins as Dry Creek turquoise but has no copper content. The White Buffalo gemstones show a beautiful matrix of black host rock and clear white gem quality stone. The condition of this necklace is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurement of this necklace is 19 1/4" from clasp to clasp and the unique 'V' style dangle center piece measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/2". The collective weight of this necklace is 17.6g.
