Featured in this lot we have a Navajo Native American Indian polychrome pottery turtle effigy figure originating from the early 1900s. The figure shows handmade pottery construction with polychrome painted landscape across the top. The shell of the turtle shows a desert landscape at the break of dawn. The image is done in black, white, purple, and blue with the rest of the turtle done in a light brown. The underside of the figure is signed "Binkttiaa Navajo" across the bottom.
