Included in this lot we have a pair of Acoma Native American Indian pottery turtle effigy figures. The figures show handmade pottery construction with polychrome mineral pigment painted designs in white, black, and red. The larger of the two turtles shows intricate geometric patterns in black and red. The piece is signed on the bottom reading "N. Victorino Acoma, NM" across the base. The second piece shows a floral pattern across the top in red with some black accents. The bottom of the piece is marked "S.C." across the base. The pieces show good condition with the larger one measuring 4 1/4" long by 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/4" tall, with the second one measuring 2 1/4" long by 1 1/2" wide by 1" tall.
