Presented in this lot is a pair of Navajo Randy Begay Jr. Sterling Silver Repoussé Dangle Earrings. The piece was created by master silversmith Randy Begay Jr., son of renowned Randy Begay. stamped "Sterling" and the artist's hallmark, "RBJR" on the reverse sides. The pierced ear earrings with push back closures are created in similar fashion with each round repoussé upper dangle having a Morning Star design which symbolizes hope and guidance. The morning star is the brightest star in the sky at dawn and is actually the planet Venus as seen in the eastern sky around dawn. Scalloped edges feature a rattlesnake jaw design. The larger lower rectangle dangle features the morning star design centered in a feather design flanked by sunrays and half moons. A wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver design with a rich patina noted throughout. The condition of these earrings is good, with no obvious signs of damage. Earrings measure 1.25"W x 2.75"L. Overall weight is 26.3 g.
