He is a fulltime silversmith who is known for his unique style, combining traditional and contemporary silverwork, including concho belts, cuffs, rings, and pendants. He uses only the finest high-grade turquoise, coral and other gemstones in his one-of-a-kind silverwork. He is particularly respected for his high-quality "old pawn style" traditional revival jewelry which was heavily influenced by his cousin the late Kirk Smith. His work has been featured in publications, including "Hallmarks of the Southwest" by Barton Wright and "American Indian Jewelry III" by Gregory Schaaf. His work is sold at galleries and online retailers that specialize in Native American art. The condition of this beautiful Navajo pendant is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The pendant measures 3"L x 1.5"W, collective weight is 40.8 grams.
