Featured in this lot is this fantastic German or nickel silver box by J. Alexander with the amazing finish and styling that resembles the Navajo stamp work of the early 1900’s. The jewelry box features a wonderfully and professionally crafted German or nickel silver with felt lined internal box with a set Cripple Creek Turquoise cabochon set into the top of the lid. The base is heavily stamped, “J. ALEXANDER” along with a tipi hallmark. The piece has a heavy construction and is crafted of silver, likely an Alpaca Silver with an antique finish. Designed by Jason Lenox in Dallas, TX, this piece of rustic silver is handmade in a small village in the Central Highlands of Mexico. The work is done by one family and all the tooling is done by hand; no presses or stamps! The condition of this J. Alexander jewelry box is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this jewelry box is 2 3/8"x 4 1/4" x 3 1/4".
