Featured in this lot is this Navajo Tsosie sterling silver purple spiny oyster necklace. The necklace features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and spiny oyster construction that shows a squash blossom design with pendant links of polished heart shaped purple spiny oyster that are set into sterling silver setting and stranded on double link necklace chains with Navajo pearls strung on it. The bottom of th central pendant is set with three oval spiny oyster cabochon set underneath. The back of the pendant is marked as follows: HT - Sterling. Herbert Tsosie is a renowned Navajo (Diné) jeweler known for his intricate and detailed silver and gold work, often incorporating traditional Navajo themes with contemporary designs. He is highly regarded for his mastery of inlay work, particularly using materials such as turquoise, coral, lapis lazuli, and other semi-precious stones.
