Featured in this lot we have a Navajo Native American Two Grey Hills hand woven wool rug originating from the early to mid 1900's. Characteristics of Two Grey Hills rugs include colors of natural browns. tan. gray, ivory and white. Patterns usually feature central stepped diamond motif and other patterns. The rug displays a stepped half diamond pattern at the center with geometric patterns on the sides. The sides of the rug show stripped patterns with the piece displaying colors of black, grey, and off white. The rug shows good construction and was most likely originally woven to be a wearing blanket. The piece shows good condition overall with some wear and discoloration due to age and use. The rug measures 63 1/2" long by 28 1/2" wide.
