For your consideration is this small, Navajo Two Gray Hills rug. The rug exhibits hand spun and dyed soft wool hand woven rug showing a black stepped border with a grey body / background with diamond and stepped storm patterns in white, beige, grey and black colors. Two Grey Hills trading post is located in northwestern New Mexico and the style was first started by George Bloomfield and Ed Davis in 1914. The rugs, like this example, show a central diamond motif surrounded by other intricate patterns with natural colors of tan, grey / gray, cream / white, black and sometimes red traditionally with a grey or light colored background. The rug is well kept with no apparent major damages or bleeding. The rug is tightly woven and shows good condition overall. The rug measures 13 1/2" L x 8 1/2" W.
