Featured in this lot Navajo Yei Be Chei polychrome wool rug, circa 1950's. Yei is the Navajo name for a deity or a holy one. The Yeis are woven facing outward. They are usually depicted with long bodies and skirts and hold sacred plants or symbols. The rug shows a wonderful Yei example with five figures and naturally dyed colors with bright examples. The condition of this rug is good good to fair with slight wear tot he rug but otherwise in good to fair overall condition. The measurements of this rug are 38" x 17 1/2".
