Featured in this lot is this Navajo Yei Be Chi ceremonial original sandpainting. The painting features two Yei figurals on either side of a corn stalk with corn shown on the stalk and the Yei figurals are dressed in ceremonial garments in a traditional style of construction. The artwork reads on the back: "This is a Navajo traditional ceremonial sandpainting made to heal sick persons. This painting is made out of natural color sandstones, and shows a not legible signature underneath the writing." The condition of this framed sand painting is good with some wear to the raised portion of the frame in the corners and along the edge but otherwise is in good overall condition. The measurements of this framed sand painting are 15 1/2" x 15 1/2" and the visible art measures 11 1/2" x 11 1/2".
