The lot features two U.S. Marshal stamped badges owned and presented to Nevada, U. S. Marshal, Richard Winget. Richard Winget, U.S. Marshal for Nevada, was appointed in 2003 by then President George W. Bush. Winget retired in 2004. Prior to the Marshal service, Winget served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, retiring as Undersheriff in 2003. The first example shows a silver like coin pattern U.S. Marshal round badge with cutout five-point star at the center and ridged edge bordering the outside. This badge is displayed on a custom wood stand. Next is a professional framed Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum replica badge showing a six-point brass badge with UNITED STATES MARSHAL stamped into the piece. Both badges were presented to Richard Winget and on display in his collection, being sold by his wife directly from the family. Both badges are in good overall condition, rich patina observed throughout. First piece measures 5"H x 3.5"W, second piece is professionally mounted and measures 10"W x 10.5"L x 1"D. Combined weight is 2lb, 10oz.
