For your consideration is this Parfleche polychromal painted hide box attributed to the Nez Perce tribe. The Parfleche box is painted on all four sides with a polychromal paint of on the smaller sides of native individuals with trade blanketswrapped around them, and on the longer sides pictorials of horses running on the one side we see an adult and foal Appaloosa horses, and on the other side a running paint horse. The Parfleche box is held together by leather strings. The condition of this Parfleche box is good with some streaking to the polychromal horse but otherwise in good condition. The measurements of this box are 3" x 4 1/4" x 9".
