Offered in this lot for your consideration is a New in Box Winchester 1873, Lever Action, Short Rifle, chambered for .44-40 Winchester. This is a modern Winchester branded rifle, and a great addition for anyone looking for "The Gun That Won the West". The 1873 was one of Winchester's most popular designs, and even though it wasn't as mechanically advanced as Mod. 1892/94, people still renown it to being one of the fastest, and smoothest Winchester rifles ever produced. With a return to popularity due to the Cowboy Action Shooting game, '73 rifles and carbines of a high quality have been made in Italy by Uberti, encouraging a return to production under license from the Olin company in 2013, joining the Model 1892 and the Model 1894 being manufactured in Japan by the Miroku Corporation. The rifle is marked in numerous places, reading; "Winchester - Model 1873" on the upper-tang, "Winchester Model 1873 - - Caliber 44-40 WIN. ONLY" on the left side of the barrel, "Made by Miroku - Japan - - Imported by BACO, INC. - Morgan, Utah - Winchester is a registered Trademark of Olin Corporation" on the right side of the barrel, serial number: "00021ZT73G" on the bottom of the receiver, and even showing the "Cal. 44-40 Win" on the bottom of the brass lifter - a touch Uberti hasn't always replicated. Additionally, the rifle features a 20" "Short Rifle" barrel, lever lock-up, crescent steel butt-plate, an adjustable rear buckhorn sight, paired with a Marble brass bread front, and an immaculate blue'd finish, contrasted excellently by walnut fixtures. The rifle comes in its original box, and includes paperwork. The Rifle is in like-new condition. The rifle qualifies as a Modern Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: 00021ZT73G
