The lot features a beaded hide pipe tobacco bag from the Northern Cheyenne Native American Indians of the early 1900’s. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with a trade seed beaded border and a fringe base with rolled tin jingle dangle cones. The bag shows a nice, medium size with top flap and corner fringe, overall showing nice coloring. The bag has a nice supple, soft finish and nice original beadwork in black and red white heart zig zag pattern. Provenance: From a historic Eastern Montana American Indian Collection, where the piece was found to be an authentic original, one of the finest collections of American Indian weaponry and antiquities in Montana.
