The lot features a beaded hide pipe tobacco bag from the Northern Cheyenne Native American Indians of the early 1900’s. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with a trade seed beaded border and a fringe base with rolled tin jingle dangle cones. The bag shows a nice, medium size with top flap and corner fringe, overall showing nice coloring. The bag has a nice supple, soft finish and nice original beadwork in black and red white heart zig zag pattern. Provenance: From a historic Eastern Montana American Indian Collection, where the piece was found to be an authentic original, one of the finest collections of American Indian weaponry and antiquities in Montana. Measures 14.5”L by 6”W.
