The set features a finely crafted hide constructed moccasins with gorgeous fully top beaded adornement and is from the Northern Cheyenne Native American Indians. The set shows an Indian tanned hide construction with scraped hide hard soles with red clay dye. The tops of the moccasins show an excellent geometric pattern all done in fine glass trade seed beads having a chalk white background with patterns in red, iridescent, and blue. The set is in very good condition showing the original tie straps, the back ankle hide runners and little to no bead loss with supple soft hide. Provenance: From one of the most prominent American Indian Collections in Billings, Montana where the set was found to be an authentic example. Each moccasin measures overall 7.25”L soles by 2.75”W by 3”H ankle.
