This is a beauitful buckskin hide beaded and fringed woman's dress from the Northern Plains Native American Indians of Montana dating to late-20th Century. The dress exhibits a tanned hide leather buckskin with long hand cut hide leather fringes framing the arms and bottom edge of the dress. The piece also shows a glass trade seed beaded beadwork across both sides including six diamond patterns (three on both sides) and a border running across the shoulders, across the arms and bottom edge of the dress all on both sides. The beadwork is done in a fantastic diamond pattern with colors of yellow, orange, red, maroon, brown, white, black, and semi-transparent blue. The diamond pattern has an amazing ombre gradient. The dress is in good overall condition. Measures overall 42"L by 77" approximately including fringes, 20.5"W from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. The dress had a $1,350.00 tag from its Montana gallery.
