Featured in this lot we have a rare Northern Plains Indian stone tang knife. The knife displays pressure flaked stone construction with a design similar to a drop point knife. The piece shows a curved cutting edge with the back showing a very shallow opposite curve. The base of the stone blade features a notched tang allowing for sturdier grip attachment. The piece is believed to be dated around 2,000 B.P. The knife blade shows good condition overall. It measures 4 1/2" long by 1 3/4" wide.
