Featured in this lot is this Northern Plains Indians style spiked skull cracker war club. The club shows a classic shape to the skull cracker and features a Parfleche outside cover with polychrome natural dyes used for coloration of a snake decoration on both sides of the skull cracker. The war club spike is constructed from a napped chert material with a triangular point. The spine of the skull cracker features three crow feathers and the Parfleche hide is held on by brass tacks on both sides. The condition of this skull cracker is good, with a patina adorning the Parfleche wrapped outside and slight warping to the feathers attached to the spine of the skull cracker. The measurements of this spiked skull cracker war club are 19 1/2" x 8" x 1 1/4".
