Featured in this lot is this Northern Plains Indians style trade knife with beaded sheath. The knife is solidly constructed with a clipped point and thick bowie blade. The knife hilt is decorated with a Parfleche hide wrapped handle, a sheath wrapped with Parfleche hide, and trade seed beads with colors of yellow, chalk white, black, orange, sky blue, medium red, dark red, and dark blue. The condition of this trade knife is good, with patina adorning the outside of the sheath and oxidation shown on the blade of the knife. The measurements of this trade knife are 10 3/4" x 2 7/8" x 1" and a blade length of 5 1/4".
