This is a wonderful set of vintage mid-century beaded high top moccasin boots from the Northwest Coast Native American Indians. These mid-1900's moccasins show a Mukluk style of craftsmanship with Indian tanned Reindeer (Caribou) hide with a soft boot having a decorated top with pinched or rolled in foot end with high boot like ankle/leg covering. The set shows a light blue calico trade clothe decoration with period correct glass trade seed beads in a floral design. The top of the moccasins show an approximately one inch accent piece of beaver fur with two braided blue and red yarn ties. The entire top also shows a wonderful beaded floral design. These overall show a good condition with some loss to the beaver fur as shown, but overall in very good displaying and wearing condition. Measures overall 10.5" long sole, 15" high ankle, and approximately 4 to 4.5"W. At the middle of the ankle or leg covering shows an added fringe made with commercially made leather, possibly a much newer addition.
