Featured in this lot is this opulent sunburst halo tanzanite and diamond, 14k gold ring. The ring shows 14k white gold construction with a sunburst halo design, a simple but elegant lattice under gallery, and a gold weight of 3.91GM. The ring shows a center stone of pear cut tanzanite with a collective weight 1.31 carats. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The center stone is profusely decorated with 28 round cut brilliant diamonds with a collective weight of 0.78 carats and in the style of a sunburst halo design. The Crown Jewel, INC. hallmark is shown on the inside of the ring band, along with a 14k gold stamp on the other side. The measurements of this ring are 1" x 3/4" x 3/4" and a ring size of US 7.
