The badge shows the iconic six pointed star with debossed and black colored lettering stating, “POLICE-297-CHICAGO”. The badge shows the makers mark on the back of the badge or Meyer & Wenthe Chicago. This is a Patrolman Star and would have been issued and kept active until retirement. The condition of this Police badge is good, with a slight patina adorning the face of the badge and the back of the badge, confirming how old it is. The measurements of this Chicago Police badge are 3 1/4" x 2 3/4". Provenance: From the famed ex-collection of Western History, Jim Aplan.
