The painting features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil on canvas construction that shows an Arizona cowboy, mounted, letting his horse cool off in a stream and take a drink and shows a thicket of trees on the far bank of the stream with a large chimney butte in the far off distance. The painting is signed by Tom Waugh in the bottom right hand corner and is dated from 1998. Tom Waugh is a very well known and collected Western Americana artist whose works have sold at such auctions and shows as the Scottsdale Art Auction, Russell Auction, San Francisco Art Auction. His works are represented in such collections and museums as the Devil's Tower Museum, Sheridan Museum, Yellowstone Historical Museum, and more. Tom has had, and represented, his art in Galleries in Santa Fe and Taos. Tom is a self taught artist who has been showing his works for 25+ years.
